Around the world, the WLA-28 line array system has become highly respected for its sound quality, easy rigging and overall reliability.  It is used in extreme conditions and usually pushed to its limits - and continues to work regardless.  There is however a big ‘enemy’ for the WLA-28 system.  That enemy is…. H20…..water!  

 
With the same reliability and high performance characteristics as the original ‘non-F’ models, these F models are IPX6 Certified.  This certification states that there should be no harmful effects when  “Water is projected in powerful jets (12.5mm nozzle) against the enclosure from any direction”
 
With rust-proof aluminium grilles, components wrapped in wax and anti-corrosion stainless steel screws and hardware, the F models are made for the rain and long-term environmental exposure.
 
In addition, to reduce any risk of standing water, and to help rental companies with storage, the front grille has been flattened.
 
The same great WLA-28 models….
but now IPX6 certified and with Neutrik connectors.

Dual 8.0" Drivers
Safely protected from the rain, are the all-important drivers.

Dual 8.0" Wharfedale Pro LF drivers with2.0" voice coils deliver a smooth and powerful sound as expected from a WLA series array.

The HF compression driver uses a ferrite magnet and a 3.0" voice coil to produce detailed HF without harshness, even at high volumes.
