Dada Discotheque is a highly regarded nightclub in Barcelona, Spain. The capital city has long been seen as a centre for entertainment, and in particular nightlife.

Dada Discotheque has recently undergone a refurbishment with a new high power sound system using the flagship Wharfedale Pro loudspeaker system, the SHO Series. The sound system was installed by Nivellpro, a local installation company.

In total 16x SH1596 loudspeakers and 8x SH2800 subwoofers were used in the installation, the SH1596 full range units are arranged in clusters of 3 at the corners of the high capacity dancefloor, two SH2800 subs are located at the bottom of each stack. Each 3 speaker cluster has a combined continuous power output of 3,000W, with the combined power output of the system capable of 30,000W continuous.

B&K test equipment has been used by the sound engineer, Carlos Pont I Reina. The test equipment revealed a continuous SPL of 117.9 dB at the centre of the dancefloor. Carlos stated: “ The final installation has a clear and translucent sound, making a very powerful sound and a great atmosphere. There is a high level and excellent dynamics.”
